Once again there are signs of earthquake in the politics of Bihar. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former minister Tej Pratap Yadav has given a statement on Friday, which has heated up the politics of the state. Tej Pratap, while sharing a post on social media platform ‘X’, has claimed that the equation of power is going to change in Bihar soon. He also claimed in his post that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has reprimanded the current Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary by calling him ‘Samrat’.
This statement of Tej Pratap has come at a time when the politics of Bihar is revolving around the Bankipur assembly by-election. He claimed that he had made such a prediction long ago and now the time is near. Although, these claims of Tej Pratap have not been confirmed by any official or government source, but his claim has definitely heated up the market of discussions among political pundits.
NDA meeting becomes center of discussion This claim became even more important when an important meeting of NDA was called in the state. In this meeting, the government’s plans, upcoming strategy and development works were to be discussed. But a major incident happened during this meeting—BJP’s declared candidate Abhishek Sinha suddenly withdrew his nomination. Abhishek Sinha has cited family reasons behind this. However, BJP immediately controlled the damage and declared Neeraj Kumar as the new candidate.
This meeting of NDA was presided over by the Chief Minister and Samrat Chaudhary, in which prominent leaders of allies participated. The main emphasis of the party is on winning the by-elections and strengthening the organization, but Tej Pratap’s statements have given a different political color to this entire exercise.
How much truth is there in Tej Pratap’s claim? Tej Pratap Yadav boldly said in his post, “The government in Bihar is going to fall very soon. Nitish Kumar has reprimanded the emperor, which I had already said. I am in Vrindavan right now, but I see that the government of Bihar will change very soon.”
This statement of Tej Pratap may be making headlines, but there is no visible movement on the ground which can prove that there is an immediate crisis on the Bihar government. For now, it will be interesting to see whether this is just a political rhetoric or indeed the ‘game’ of power is about to start again in Bihar.
