The Central Sanskrit University (CSU) has unveiled an exciting opportunity for students aspiring to become Ayurvedic doctors after completing Class 10. By passing the NEET-PA entrance exam, students can enroll in a comprehensive 7.5-year integrated BAMS program.

For those who have studied Sanskrit until Class 10 and wish to pursue a medical career, CSU has announced the Pre-Ayurveda (NEET-PA) entrance examination for the academic year 2026-27. This exam serves as the gateway for students to embark on their journey towards becoming Ayurvedic practitioners.

BAMS Admission Details

The newly introduced integrated Pre-Ayurveda program is specifically designed for students proficient in Sanskrit. To secure a spot in this course, candidates must successfully clear the NEET-PA entrance exam. Upon admission, students will attend an Ayurveda Gurukul and ultimately earn a BAMS degree.

Course Duration: 7.5 Years

The entire program lasts for 7.5 years, starting with two years at the Pre-Ayurveda Gurukul, followed by a 4.5-year BAMS curriculum. A one-year internship is also mandatory, after which graduates can begin their careers as Ayurvedic doctors.
