IRCTC’s new tour package

IRCTC, a subsidiary of Indian Railways, has introduced an amazing 6-day tour package. In this journey you will get the opportunity to enjoy mountains, waterfalls, temples and grand palaces. This package has been named “Coffee with Karnataka”. You can book this package on any Wednesday as per your convenience. Your journey will start next Wednesday – 15th July – at 7:05 pm from Kacheguda Railway Station by train number 12785 (Kacheguda-Mysore Express). You will travel at night by train.

Day 2 (Thursday):

You will reach Mysore at 9:30 am. From there, you will travel to the beautiful hill station Coorg, located about 115 kilometers away by road. You will check-in to the hotel by noon. After resting for a while, you will visit Abbey Falls and Omkareshwar Temple. The night will be spent in a hotel in Coorg.

Day 3 (Friday):

After breakfast at the hotel, you will proceed towards Talakaveri, the source of the Kaveri River. After this, will visit the Bhagamandal temple. In the afternoon, visit Raja’s Seat for an amazing view of the valleys. The night will again be spent in a hotel in Coorg.

Day 4 (Saturday):

After breakfast, you will check-out from the hotel and proceed to Mysore. On the way, will visit Kaveri Nisargdham and Tibetan Monastery. On reaching Mysore, enjoy the famous Vrindavan Gardens. In the evening, you will check-in to your hotel and spend the night in Mysore.

Day 5 (Sunday):

After breakfast, you will check-out from the hotel. Then visit Chamundi Hills and the grand Mysore Palace. In the afternoon, you will reach Mysore Railway Station and depart for Kacheguda by train number 12786 at 3:15 pm. The night journey will be in train. Day 6 (Monday) – Your journey will end after reaching Kacheguda Railway Station at 5:40 am.

Features included in the package

This package includes train tickets in Sleeper Class for Standard Package and 3AC for Comfort Package. During the journey, you will travel in an AC vehicle. There is provision for 2 nights hotel stay in Coorg and 1 night in Mysore. The hotel also includes daily breakfast, travel insurance, guided tours, toll tax, parking fees and applicable GST.

Booking and Cost

For the Standard (Sleeper Class) package, single occupancy costs ₹39,950. The per person fare for double and triple occupancy is ₹21,150 and ₹15,660 respectively. The fare for children between 5 to 11 years is ₹11,260.
