Akansha Ranjan Kapoor married Sharan Sharma in an intimate ceremony. They have been dating since 2022. Skipping an elaborate and traditional Hindu wedding, the couple opted for a registered marriage at home. According to reports, Akansha and Sharan will be hosting a reception for their Bollywood colleagues and friends today (July 11) evening. Announcing their marriage, they shared pictures on Instagram. Akansha and Sharan’s registered marriage ceremony was attended by their family members and close friends. Workwise, she is an actress, and he has directed films such as Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Mr And Mrs Mahi.

Akansha was dressed in a gorgeous red-coloured saree with an embellished border. She paired it with an embellished and sequined golden blouse. The bride completed her look with a heavily studded necklace, statement kaanchain earrings and a matching maangtika. She wore kaleeras, haathphool and red bangles. Sharan wore an ivory and gold sherwani.

Sharing pictures on Instagram, Akansha wrote, “tu na toh ghar ghar nahi lagta, tu hain toh darr nahi lagta.” The caption has a connection to Sharan’s last directorial, Mr And Mrs Mahi. It is the lyrics of the popular song, Tu Hai Toh, featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.

After keeping their relationship under a tight wrap for years, Akansha confirmed in a 2022 interview with ETimes, “Yes, I am in a relationship with Sharan. While I have not hidden the fact that I am dating him, I don’t like to discuss my personal life too much.”

Akansha Ranjan Kapoor is the younger daughter of Anu and Shashi Ranjan. Her elder sister is actress Anushka Ranjan, and her brother-in-law is Aditya Seal. She made her acting debut with Guilty in 2020. After the Netflix film, she featured in Monica, O My Darling on the same platform. She made her first big-screen appearance in Alia Bhatt’s Jigra as an air hostess.
