Leeds United will commence their 2026 pre-season campaign with a friendly against Wrexham in Tampa, scheduled for the early hours of Sunday, 25 July, British Summer Time (BST). The Whites have confirmed a total of six warm-up matches, including two at their home ground, Elland Road, as preparations continue for the 2026-27 Premier League season, which begins in six weeks.
As reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, this pre-season tour follows seven weeks after Leeds’ final league match of the previous season — a 3-0 defeat to West Ham United. Despite that result, Leeds had already secured their Premier League survival with three matches remaining, while West Ham’s victory was insufficient to prevent their relegation to the Championship.
The first fixture of the United States tour will see Leeds meet Wrexham at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, with kick-off at 12:30 a.m. BST on Sunday, 25 July.
The second match on American soil will be against Sunderland at the Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey, kicking off at 12:30 a.m. BST on Friday, 30 July.
The US tour will conclude with a high-profile clash against Liverpool at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois, on Sunday, 2 August, starting at 9 p.m. BST.
Upon returning to England, Leeds will host RB Leipzig at Elland Road on Saturday, 8 August, with the match set to begin at 2 p.m.
Following that, the club will travel to Dublin to face Manchester United at Croke Park on Wednesday, 12 August, kicking off at 7:30 p.m.
The pre-season schedule wraps up with FC Augsburg visiting Elland Road on Saturday, 15 August, with the final warm-up match set for a 3 p.m. start.
