Michael Olise has reportedly requested an urgent meeting with Bayern Munich executives to discuss his future after an impressive World Cup campaign that has significantly boosted his market value. The French international finds himself at a decisive moment in Bavaria amid increasing interest from Real Madrid.

Olise, who moved to Bayern Munich from Crystal Palace for €55 million in 2024, has been instrumental in France’s journey to the 2026 World Cup semi-finals—where they will take on Spain—by providing six crucial assists. His performances have drawn attention across Europe, putting his club future under scrutiny.

According to reports from El Debate, Olise has asked to meet Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer immediately after the tournament to clarify his next steps. Though fully focused on his national team duties, he is aware of the immense attention his displays have generated and wants his role and remuneration to align with his elevated status in world football.

Within the French camp, Real Madrid players are said to be actively encouraging Olise to consider a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. Kylian Mbappe, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Ibrahima Konate are reportedly acting as informal agents, promoting Madrid’s project to their international teammate.

The dynamic partnership between Mbappe and Olise on the field has been one of the standout features of France’s campaign, and sources suggest Olise is intrigued by the idea of linking up with Mbappe at club level. This behind-the-scenes persuasion has left the winger contemplating a switch to La Liga.

However, the potential transfer presents major financial challenges. Following his standout World Cup performances, Olise’s market value is estimated to have risen to around €200 million, while he remains under contract with Bayern for another three years. The German giants, known for rarely selling star players, plan to continue building a Champions League-contending squad around their key talents.

Nonetheless, discussions have surfaced regarding Olise’s current €8 million net annual salary, which is now viewed as outdated given his recent contributions. Reports indicate Bayern have already prepared a new contract offer worth €14 million net annually in an attempt to fend off potential bidders.

Despite Bayern’s strong position, Olise’s agent, Rebecca James, is said to be advising him not to accept an immediate extension at the Allianz Arena. Her strategy is reportedly to preserve leverage by allowing the player’s value to naturally decline as his contract approaches its final two years in 2027, potentially easing a future move.
