Yastika Bhatia’s magnificent 113 and a disciplined bowling effort left India on the verge of a historic first-ever women’s Test victory at Lord’s against England.
Chasing a daunting target of 457, England slumped to 130/6 at stumps on Day 3, still requiring 327 runs with only four wickets in hand. Yastika became the first woman to score a Test century at Lord’s, while Smriti Mandhana (70) and Richa Ghosh (50*) powered India to 341/7 declared. Kranti Gaud, Sayali Satghare and Sneh Rana then struck twice each to dismantle England’s batting.
Amy Jones remained unbeaten on 52, but India need just four wickets on the final day to complete a landmark victory at the Home of Cricket.
