Hansraj College Recruitment: Hansraj College, University of Delhi, has invited applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Project Associate-I under a research project. This project is funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF). A total of one vacancy is to be filled through this recruitment drive.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply until August 5, 2026. According to the college, the total duration of the research project is three years, but the appointment for the advertised post will be for a period of two years.
What is the research project about?
This research project focuses on viral diseases affecting important crops such as tomatoes and cucumbers. Under the project, antiviral peptides will be developed and tested using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to protect crops from the Tomato Leaf Curl Palampur Virus and Cucumber Mosaic Virus. The objective is to develop new and effective technologies to combat viral diseases in the agricultural sector.
Who is eligible for the JRF post?
For the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) post, candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in Bioinformatics or Computer Science. Additionally, a valid CSIR-UGC NET or GATE score is required, alongside an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a professional course. Selected candidates will receive a fellowship of ₹37,000 per month, plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per regulations.
Required qualifications for the Project Associate-I post
For the Project Associate-I post, candidates must possess a four-year undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences, Agriculture, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physical Sciences from a recognized university. Candidates holding a postgraduate degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, B.V.Sc., Pharmacy, Engineering, or Medical Sciences are also eligible to apply. The maximum age limit for this post is 28 years.
What will be the remuneration for selected candidates? Selected candidates will be offered a monthly remuneration of ₹37,000 + HRA or ₹30,000 + HRA, depending on their qualifications. Candidates possessing experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP (Natural Language Processing), and Python or R programming on Linux will be given preference during the selection process.
