Reasons for price changes

Oil companies (Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum) typically revise LPG cylinder prices on the first day of every month. New rates are implemented after considering international LPG prices, the dollar-rupee exchange rate, and other costs.

How to check the latest rates?

You can view the latest LPG rates for your city by visiting the official websites or mobile apps of Indane, Bharat Gas, or HP Gas. The updated price is also displayed at the time of booking the gas cylinder.

Why are domestic prices stable? Oil companies had raised the price of domestic LPG cylinders in June due to international LPG prices and tensions in West Asia. For now, the government and the companies have decided not to place an additional burden on domestic consumers; consequently, no price hike was implemented during the July revision.

Could prices rise next month?

At present, domestic LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged, meaning ordinary consumers will not face any additional costs for the time being. However, a hike or reduction in LPG prices could be announced next month following a review of trends in the international energy market and the government's regular assessment.
