After several weeks of intense negotiations and uncertainty, it has now been officially confirmed that Mason Greenwood is leaving Olympique de Marseille.
On Tuesday evening, Fenerbahçe announced the signing of the English forward, marking the end of Greenwood’s tenure at the French club.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Marseille will receive a transfer fee of €40 million, along with an additional €2 million in performance-related bonuses. Manchester United, Greenwood’s parent club, will secure €10 million from the deal and have retained a sell-on clause for any future transfer involving the player.
During his time at Marseille, Greenwood made an impressive impact, scoring 48 goals and providing 17 assists across 81 appearances in all competitions. His contributions were instrumental in Marseille’s attacking success throughout his stay at the club.
The transfer represents the biggest sale in Olympique de Marseille’s history, underlining the club’s growing reputation for developing and selling high-value talent on the European stage.
Mason Greenwood’s move to Fenerbahçe marks a new chapter in his career, as he looks to continue his resurgence in the Turkish Süper Lig following an exceptional spell in Ligue 1.
