HPCL is a public sector company operating under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. The company has invited applications to provide one-year apprenticeship training to engineering graduates in its Marketing Division. The online application process begins on July 15, 2026, and interested candidates can apply until July 31, 2026. The age limit will also be calculated as of July 31, 2026.

Who Can Apply

Candidates from only four engineering disciplines are eligible to apply for this recruitment: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Instrumentation Engineering. To apply, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

Regarding educational qualifications, candidates belonging to the General and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) categories are required to have secured at least 60% marks in engineering. For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), a minimum of 50% marks is required. Additionally, candidates must be between 18 and 25 years of age.

A key feature of this recruitment process is that no written examination or interview will be conducted. Initially, applications will be screened based on the marks obtained in the engineering degree. Subsequently, candidates will be called for document verification in a 1:5 ratio relative to the available vacancies. The final merit list will be released after the document verification process is complete.

Finally, selected candidates must accept a tripartite apprenticeship contract on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal. Training will commence following the completion of the medical fitness certification and police verification processes.

Stipend Details

During the training period, selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹25,000. Of this amount, ₹20,500 will be provided by HPCL, while ₹4,500 will be transferred directly to the candidates' bank accounts by the Government of India via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
