Flight News: Great news for travelers flying from Mumbai—they will no longer have to rely solely on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport for international travel. Navi Mumbai International Airport has announced its first international flights. Direct flights to Abu Dhabi will operate from here, offering passengers better connectivity and a less congested travel experience.

When will international flights begin?

Air India Express announced the opening of bookings for Abu Dhabi flights on June 21. International flight operations at Navi Mumbai International Airport commence today, July 15, with the Abu Dhabi route. In addition to domestic flights, the airport will now offer facilities for international travelers. Adani Airports Holdings Limited stated that this new route will operate three days a week, providing a direct service to the UAE in West Asia.

Where can one fly to?

International services are launching with the Abu Dhabi route. As demand and operational capacity increase, flights to destinations such as Dubai, Singapore, Doha, Bangkok, and other international cities will also be introduced.

How will passengers benefit?

The opening of Navi Mumbai Airport will reduce passenger congestion at Mumbai's existing airport. Furthermore, residents of Navi Mumbai, Thane, Panvel, Raigad, and surrounding areas will no longer need to travel long distances to reach the Mumbai airport, resulting in savings on both travel time and traffic-related delays.
