The rhetoric in political circles has intensified amid speculations about Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) President Sharad Pawar joining the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The continuous statements of leaders of various parties have given rise to new discussions in the politics of Maharashtra. However, till now no official announcement has been made by Sharad Pawar or his party in this regard.

Commenting on the issue, Acharya Pramod Krishnam, a spiritual guru in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, said, “I have deep respect for Sharad Pawar. Pawar is a senior and experienced leader of the country, and at this stage of his life he should take decisions that are in the national interest.”

Expressing his personal opinion, Acharya Pramod Krishnam said that standing with Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be the right decision for Sharad Pawar.

NCP leader Anil Bhaidas Patil, reacting to speculations about the two factions of the NCP uniting and joining the NDA, said, “Such discussions come up from time to time in political circles, but if there is any kind of unification between the two factions of the Nationalist Congress Party in the future, then its final decision will not be taken by the party workers but by the Pawar family.”

Patil said, “Maharashtra workers have deep respect for the Pawar family and the decision taken by the family will be acceptable to everyone. Whatever decision Sunetra Pawar takes, it will be accepted by the party workers with full devotion.”

Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Nirupam targeted the opposition by mentioning the Maharashtra government’s ‘Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin Yojana’. He said, “Under the leadership of former Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, this scheme was started in the year 2024 with the aim of providing assistance of Rs 1,500 every month to economically weaker women.

The plan was prepared and implemented in record time, but opposition parties including Congress, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) and Sharad Pawar faction opposed it from the beginning. This scheme has proved to be an economic support for lakhs of women in the state.”
