Here is what the hydrogen train looks like; it will be flagged off on July 17—check out the route and fare details..

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shared a picture of the country's first hydrogen train on social media. This hydrogen train will operate between Jind and Sonipat. On July 17, PM Modi will flag off the country's first hydrogen train from Jind, Haryana. Notably, this hydrogen train has been named 'Namo Green Rail'. It is reported that the train will cover the 89-kilometer journey in just two hours. En route from Jind to Sonipat, the train will halt at 12 stations.

**Train Schedule**
The Railway Board has officially announced that hydrogen train number 74010 will depart from Jind Railway Station at 7:40 AM and arrive in Sonipat at 9:40 AM during its regular run. The train will stop at 12 stations: Jind City, Pandu Pindara, Lalit Khera, Bhambeva, Ishapur Kheri, Butana, Khandrai, Gohana, Rabhra, Lath, Mohana, and Barwasni. While the train is set to be inaugurated on July 17, the date for the commencement of regular passenger services has not yet been finalized.

**Hydrogen Train Fare**
Regarding the fare, the cost for the hydrogen train will range from a minimum of ₹5 to a maximum of ₹25. In comparison, the starting fare for traditional trains is around ₹30, with a maximum fare of approximately ₹126; the hydrogen train is significantly more affordable.

It is worth noting that the hydrogen train was designed and developed in India, exemplifying Indian Railways' commitment to 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (Self-Reliant India). Its design was created by the Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO) in Lucknow, and it was manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai.
