When to observe Vinayaki Chaturthi fast in July 2026?
According to the Panchang, Chaturthi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Ashadha month will start from 06.27 am on Friday, July 17 and will continue till 04.42 am on Saturday, July 18. Since the sunrise and moonrise of Chaturthi Tithi will be on 17th July, hence this fast will be observed on this day. Many auspicious yogas will also be formed on this day due to which its importance will become even greater.

The best time for worship on Vinayaki Chaturthi of Ashadh month will be from 11:05 am to 01:50 pm, that is, devotees will get full time of 02 hours 45 minutes for worship. Apart from this, other auspicious times are as follows-

05:31 pm to 07:10 pm
Vinayaki Chaturthi puja method-mantra
- On the day of fasting, wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear clean clothes. After this, take a pledge to fast with water, rice and flowers in your hand. Fast with devotion and regularly throughout the day.
- Install the idol or picture of Lord Ganesha in the auspicious time. First of all apply sandalwood or kumkum tilak, then offer flowers and start the puja by lighting a ghee lamp and incense.
- Now offer Durva, rice, Roli, perfume, sacred thread, betel nut, flowers and other worship materials one by one to Lord Shri Ganesh. Chant the mantra Om Gan Ganapataye Namah with devotion during the puja.
- After the puja, offer sweets or fruits as per your wish. Perform aarti properly. When the moon is seen at night, offer water to it and worship it with flowers, rice and kumkum.
- Eat food after worship like this. It is believed that by observing this fast with devotion, one gets the blessings of Ganpati Bappa and happiness, prosperity and good fortune remain in the family.
