England captain Harry Brook has won the toss and elected to field first against India in the IND vs ENG 2nd ODI 2026 at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff today.

Seeking to level the three-match series, the hosts have opted to utilise the conditions early, while India looks to clinch the series with a victory following their convincing win in the opening encounter at Edgbaston. In a significant adjustment to the side, India has brought in wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan for this contest. Kishan replaces veteran KL Rahul, who is sick as per captain Shubman Gill as India aims to build on their 1-0 series lead.

Gill, who sustained cramps during his fluent 80-run knock in the first ODI, has been declared fit to lead the team. The Indian management continues to place trust in their balanced XI, featuring the return of Jasprit Bumrah to the 50-over format, which proved a major positive in the previous match.

England, on the other hand have made as many as two changes, including Saqib Mahmood and Gus Atkinson, with Liam Dawson and Josh Tongue getting axed.
