Koyel Mallick Resigns Rajya Sabha MP: Bad news has emerged for Mamata Banerjee from the politics of West Bengal. Mamata group’s Trinamool Congress has again suffered a major setback. TMC Rajya Sabha MP and actress Koel Mallik has resigned from her MP post on Thursday.
Even before the assembly elections, the party had nominated him for the Upper House. Koyal Mallik has tendered his resignation to Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishnan. She said in her resignation letter that she is resigning from the Rajya Sabha with immediate effect.
3 MPs have joined BJP

Even before this, three Rajya Sabha MPs of the party have resigned. Now actress Koel Mallik has also resigned as Rajya Sabha MP. She became MP only three months ago
Actress Koel Mallik took oath in Parliament as TMC’s Rajya Sabha MP three months ago on April 6, but after taking the oath, she has not yet participated in the proceedings of the House. Presenting her resignation letter to the Vice President, she said, I express my heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Chairman, the Honorable Deputy Chairman and all the officers of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat for all the help and cooperation I have received during my tenure as a Rajya Sabha member.

Shortly after resigning from Rajya Sabha, Koel Mallik met senior BJP leader and Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav at his residence in Delhi. After this the discussion about his joining BJP intensified.
