‘Lock Up: Truth or Punishment’ fame Madhuri Grover has come under severe attack on social media for one of her controversial statements. The comments he made during the show regarding wealth-poverty and the number of children created a stir on the internet. People expressed displeasure over his statement and raised many sharp questions. Now after coming out of the show, Madhuri has clarified her point as to why she had said this.

After all, what was that statement which created an uproar?

During the reality show, Madhuri Grover had expressed regret over not having her third child and said, “The third child keeps you young. Look at rich people like Shahrukh Khan, he has three children. The saying ‘Hum Do Hamare Do’ does not apply to everyone. The more rich children they produce, the more wealth will increase, and the more poor children they produce, the more poverty will increase.” This statement infuriated people, after which he is being continuously trolled on social media.

What did Madhuri say in clarification?

After facing trolling, Madhuri Grover has openly expressed her side. Speaking to IANS, he clearly said that his words were completely misunderstood. Madhuri clarified, “I was not stopping anyone from having children. My point should not be seen from the perspective of creating a gap between rich and poor. I was encouraging people, especially rich people, to have more children. I myself regret why I did not have more children.”

‘The statement was seen by linking it to the economy’

When he was asked that there are many successful people in India who have come out of extreme poverty and earned fame, what is the logic of his statement? On this Madhuri said that her entire focus was on the country’s economy and industry. He said, “I believe that if families and population grow, it has a positive impact on the economy. Many poor families also move forward with more children in the hope that one of them will become successful and change the condition of the family. I had made my point in the context of this reality of the society.”

Madhuri finally stressed that in today’s times when people are avoiding even getting married, I was motivating people to raise a family. She said that everyone has every right to take their own decisions, and she is not taking away anyone’s right to have children.
