Puri Rath Yatra 2026 News Marathi : A major accident took place on Thursday (July 16, 2026) during the ongoing Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath at Puri in Odisha. Due to the huge crowd in the yatra, a stampede occurred, in which around 200 devotees were injured. Also, the preliminary information that a devotee has died has come to light.
According to the information received, lakhs of devotees had entered Puri to watch the Rath Yatra. Devotees gathered in large numbers for this yatra between Market Chowk and Chilli Court Chowk on the Grand Road. Meanwhile, this incident has happened. As the crowd suddenly increased, the devotees lost their balance at some places and created an atmosphere of confusion. Meanwhile, there was a stampede. Many fell down and sustained serious injuries.
