Lucknow. Monsoon has once again gained momentum in Uttar Pradesh. According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, rain activities are likely to increase in the state from July 17. Monsoon winds have become active due to the strengthening of the low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal, the effect of which can be seen in many parts of the state for the next four to five days. This will not only bring good rainfall but will also bring down the temperature and people will get relief from the humid heat.

Why has the possibility of rain increased?

According to meteorologists, the low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is continuously strengthening. Due to this, the monsoon trough has again become active towards North India. This is the reason why the possibility of widespread rain has increased in Uttar Pradesh. If this system continues to progress like this, then moderate to heavy rains may be seen in many districts in the coming days.

Chances of rain in these districts

The Meteorological Department estimates that many districts of Eastern, Central and Western Uttar Pradesh may receive good rainfall. Rain activities are likely to increase in many districts including Ambedkarnagar, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Basti, Ballia, Siddharthnagar, Mathura, Aligarh, Hamirpur and Firozabad. Apart from this, intermittent heavy rains may continue in Lucknow and surrounding areas.

The effect will last for four to five days

Experts say that after July 17, monsoon will be fully active in the state. For the next four to five days, there may be heavy rain, thundershowers and heavy rainfall at isolated places at many places. The temperature is expected to drop further due to continuous rain, which will make the weather quite comfortable.

Relief news for farmers

The activity of monsoon is also considered positive from the agriculture point of view. Farmers who have sown paddy, maize, pulses and other Kharif crops are expected to get benefits from this rain. Due to adequate rainfall, moisture will remain in the fields and the need for irrigation will also reduce.
