The 2026 World Cup draws to a close this weekend, and football fans are already turning their attention to the upcoming Premier League season.

Here’s everything you need to know about the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.

Mark your calendars for Friday, 21st August 2026, when the new season officially begins. Defending champions Arsenal will open the campaign against newly-promoted Coventry City at the Emirates Stadium. For Frank Lampard’s men, this marks a long-awaited return to the top flight after a 25-year absence.

Before the league action kicks off, the traditional curtain-raiser — the FA Community Shield — will be contested between Manchester City and Arsenal at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Sunday, 16th August 2026.

Columbus Crew 2 will go up against Philadelphia Union II, and Chattanooga FC will face Orlando City B.
