Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “Two people have been confirmed dead in Kiev in a Russian missile attack last night. I express my deepest condolences to their families and loved ones. Five people are injured, including a child.”
Zelensky said that a residential high-rise building, warehouse and several vehicles were also damaged in the Russian attack. Four people have been injured in Russian attacks in the Kharkiv region. This area was attacked with drones and guided air bombs. Many private houses and places of purely civilian use were damaged, including a cinema hall and a tennis court.
He said a public park was attacked in Sumy, while a group of tractors was also targeted in the same area. Many apartment buildings in Zaporozhye were damaged. At the same time, facilities to the power system in Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv and Donetsk regions have also been damaged.
In total, Russia fired 13 missiles, including eight ballistic missiles, and also used 151 drones, the Ukrainian president said. This is the sixth attack on Kiev with ballistic missiles in the month of July itself.
He said that Moscow is still trying to spread fear through ballistic missiles and is carrying out continuous attacks. Now the most important thing is to speed up the supply of interceptor missiles for our air defense. Every aid package is important, and whatever agreements we have with our partners, the goods must arrive on time. Their timely delivery helps save lives and reduces the impact of Russian attacks.
