From gravity-defying stunts and martial arts to high-octane dance performances, Tiger Shroff has consistently raised the bar on screen. In recognition of his power-packed impact on the action genre, he was presented the Bombay Times Headliner: Dynamic Action Hero award .
Reflecting on the recognition, Tiger says the honour is especially meaningful to him. “It feels very special to be bestowed with this title. To receive the recognition of a Dynamic Action Hero award is truly humbling. I’ve always looked up to action heroes growing up, so to be recognised in that space feels surreal,” he shares.
For Tiger, action films extend far beyond adrenaline-fuelled stunts and combat sequences. He believes the genre demands emotional honesty as much as physical prowess. “For me, an action superhero is not just about doing stunts or fight sequences. It’s about discipline, emotion and storytelling through movement. Action has always been my way of expressing myself on screen, but there has to be a feeling behind every kick and punch. Otherwise it doesn’t mean anything,” he explains.
The actor recalls reading Bombay Times at home while growing up and dreaming of being part of the world it chronicled. “I remember going through Bombay Times at home every morning. It always represented the glamour and energy of the industry for me. It feels nice to be a part of something that I would read about,” he says, adding, “Getting this recognition from Bombay Times is a full-circle moment for me in a way. I’m grateful for all the love I have received over the years. At the end of the day, these moments remind me why I started and motivate me to keep going on and working harder.”
