Fire Erupts in Noida Residential Society Amidst Heatwave

In the midst of extreme heat in the NCR region, incidents of fire in residential areas continue to occur. A significant fire broke out in a flat on the seventh floor of the Paras Tierea Society located in Sector 137, Noida, due to a sudden short circuit in the air conditioning unit. The sight of flames caused panic among the residents, leading to a chaotic atmosphere. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported in this incident.


Quick Action by Maintenance Team Prevents Major Disaster

Initial reports indicate that the fire originated from the air conditioning unit installed on the exterior of a flat on the seventh floor. Upon noticing smoke and flames rising into the sky, the maintenance staff of the society promptly took action. Before the fire department arrived, the maintenance team managed to control the fire using the society's firefighting system. Their swift response prevented the fire from spreading to nearby flats, averting a potential disaster.


Fire Department Conducts Site Inspection

Following the incident, officials from the fire department arrived at the society to assess the affected area. The team conducted an inspection to ensure there was no risk of the fire reigniting and to investigate the circumstances that led to this event.


Fire Safety in Residential Societies

According to officials, electrical malfunctions are among the primary causes of fires in residential buildings, especially during the peak summer months when air conditioners are heavily utilized. Experts recommend regular servicing of electrical appliances, checking wiring, and avoiding overloaded circuits to minimize the risk of such incidents.


Previous Fire Incident in Mamura Village

Earlier, on July 15, a devastating fire in Mamura village, Noida, resulted in the deaths of at least two individuals and left several others injured. Reports suggest that the fire was ignited by a spark from an electric bike. Police sources indicated that around 50 families were affected, prompting rescue operations. In response to a fire incident in a building in Sector 66, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to take necessary actions.


The fire was caused by a spark from the charging battery of an electric vehicle, which subsequently ignited nearby petrol-powered vehicles. Upon receiving the alert, seven fire engines and a hydraulic platform, along with the Chief Fire Officer and local police, arrived at the scene to commence rescue operations.
