The Chennai-based bikemaker Royal Enfield has officially launched the updated 2026 Classic 350 in India. This time around, the popular heritage motorcycle from the brand has been given a number of practical upgrades, which will improve the overall riding experience. Some of its upgrades include an assist and slipper clutch along with a USB Type-C fast charging port.

The biggest update on the 2026 Classic 350 is the addition of an assist and slipper clutch. This feature has already made its way to the Meteor 350, Hunter 350, and Goan Classic 350. Now, with the launch of the updated Classic, the Bullet 350 is now the only motorcycle in Royal Enfield’s 350cc lineup that does not get this feature.

The assist and slipper clutch reduces clutch lever effort, which makes the motorcycle much easier to ride in heavy city traffic, where constant clutch operation can become tiring for riders. It also offers smoother upshifts and downshifts. Additionally, it also reduces rear-wheel hop during aggressive downshifts. As a result of this, riders will get better comfort, improved control, and more confidence in different riding conditions.

Another practical addition is the new USB Type-C fast charging port. The Classic 350 already offered a USB charging port. However, Royal Enfield has now upgraded it to a faster Type-C unit. This will help riders to charge smartphones, navigation devices, and other compatible electronics quickly while riding. It will help in both daily commuting and long-distance touring.

It has to be mentioned that the updated features are only being offered on the dual-channel ABS variants of the Classic 350. The range continues to start with the Redditch Red variant, which is priced at Rs 1.87 lakh (ex-showroom). However, this single-channel ABS variant does not receive either the assist and slipper clutch or the USB Type-C fast charging port.

The updated dual-channel ABS variants now start from Rs 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the range-topping Emerald Green variant is priced at Rs 2.24 lakh (ex-showroom).

Apart from these two new features, the motorcycle has been kept mechanically unchanged. The Classic 350 continues to come powered by the same 349cc J-series single-cylinder engine. This engine makes 20.2 hp and 27 Nm of torque. It is known for its refined performance, strong low-end torque, and relaxed riding characteristics.

Royal Enfield has not made any changes to the chassis or suspension setup as well. The Classic 350 continues to get the same upright riding posture and comfortable ergonomics that have made it one of the most popular motorcycles in its segment.

Suspension duties will continue to be handled by telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. The motorcycle also retains its distinctive 19-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheel combination. As for the braking hardware, it has also remained unchanged as well, with higher variants getting the same dual-channel ABS.

Royal Enfield has also revised the colour lineup for the Classic 350. The Halcyon Black and Jodhpur Blue colour options have now been discontinued. As a result, the motorcycle is now available in seven colour schemes across different variants. These include Redditch Red, which is a vibrant, solid gloss red paired with basic single-channel ABS and a rear drum brake.

Then there is the Halcyon Series, which gets Halcyon Black. After which, the Heritage Series includes Madras Red and Medallion Bronze. Other colors include Commando Sand, Stealth Black, Gun Grey, and finally Emerald. Overall, the new Classic 350 has become more modern and we’ll equipped and will become more comfortable for riders.
