We are well into the year, but Hyundai has officially introduced the 2026 Ioniq 5 N, and the big news is that it now comes at a significantly lower price.

The updated starting price for the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is $61,500, which includes a $1,600 destination charge. This represents a $6,300 reduction compared to the 2025 model. While the drop sounds attractive, it’s important to note that until the end of September 2025, customers were able to benefit from a “lease loophole” that allowed dealerships to apply the full $7,500 federal credit as a lease discount. However, since dealers weren’t obligated to offer that benefit, Hyundai’s new price cut still stands out as a substantial saving, especially for customers planning to purchase rather than lease the vehicle.

Alongside the price reduction, the 2026 Ioniq 5 N gains a few key upgrades. All other Ioniq 5 variants had already transitioned from the CCS charging port to the NACS standard, and now the 5 N follows suit by adopting the NACS port as well. Hyundai has confirmed that a CCS-to-NACS adapter will be provided for both Level 2 and fast charging compatibility.

There are also some performance and convenience updates. Hyundai’s N Drift Optimizer now offers 10 selectable levels, giving drivers more control during spirited driving. A new exterior colour, Performance Blue Pearl, has been added to the palette—previously, only Performance Blue Matte was available. Additionally, the rear windows now feature one-touch up and down functionality, and the car gains a camera-based forward attention warning system as part of the expanded suite of driver assistance features.

Hyundai has not yet specified an exact on-sale date, but with the pricing now confirmed, the 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is expected to reach dealerships soon.
