Actor and filmmaker Sohail Khan turned vulnerable on a recent episode of the Prime Video reality series Alliance, opening up about a traumatic experience he endured growing up: It was just revealed that he was molested as a child and kept quiet about it for years. The revelation occurred while the episode was otherwise lighthearted about his team’s win on the leaderboard, with his most revealing moment adding and reflecting on how that moment shaped the way he parents and communicates with his own children.

The moment came during a conversation with fellow contestants Arslan Goni, Ruhee Dosani, and Aly Goni, in an episode that otherwise focused on his team’s win on the leaderboard. Speaking on the subject of ragging and bullying, Sohail Khan shared that he had endured a similar experience of harassment when he was young, one he chose to keep to himself for a long period of time.

He later admitted that it was not until he was an adult that he was able to confide in his father about the incident. Sohail Khan recalled that his father was worried or distressed when told about how Sohail had been suffering in silence for so long.
