Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and MP Rahul Gandhi addressed the ‘Students’ Echo’ dialogue program on Friday evening at Bannu School Ground, Race Course, Dehradun. Speaking from the stage in the presence of thousands of students, he said that this is not a political meeting but a program to talk about the youth, their future, struggles and difficulties.
He said, ‘I thank all of you for coming here to meet me. The issue I want to talk to you about is the main issue of India right now. This is about the future of our children, the future of our youth. This is about our education system. This is not a political meeting. As soon as he took the stage, Rahul Gandhi first remembered the students who lost their lives in a tragic accident during paper preparation.
Loss to 99 percent honest-poor people
In the students’ rally, Rahul Gandhi fiercely attacked the Modi government at the Center regarding the paper leak issue. He said that one percent class, which takes advantage of the system, adopts methods like question paper leak and this causes loss to 99 percent honest and poor people.
Dharmendra Pradhan targeted
Taking aim at Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, he said that despite question papers being leaked several times, not a single person has been punished. He said that high technology is being used for paper leak. If you have crores of rupees then you can choose the paper of your choice from the ‘menu card’ of Paper Leak.
Rahul Gandhi said that the condition of India’s education system is such that paper leaking has become common. Question paper leak affected 7.5 crore students, 152 cases were reported but no convictions.
Two paths before students and youth
There are two paths in front of students and youth. One path is honesty and hard work, where you will have to bear the loss of money and pressure from family. The second way, if you have money, if you are corrupt or dishonest and if you want to pass by stealing or cheating then a hidden option is the way of ‘paper leak’. He said that 99.9 percent of our students are honest. They do not follow the path of theft. However, 1 percent of people take advantage of the system to use this path and all the other youth have to bear the brunt of it.
