After the release of the seat allotment list for the first phase of undergraduate admission in DU (Delhi University), now the most important process for the candidates is Document Verification. Every year a large number of students’ applications get pending or rejected merely due to minor technical and documentation errors. In such a situation, students should check all the certificates completely before uploading them.

Take special care while uploading documents

The most common mistake during document verification is uploading blurry, incomplete or incorrect documents. Many students take photos in a hurry and upload them from mobile, due to which the details are not clearly visible. Apart from this, if there is a difference in name, date of birth or name of parents in 10th mark sheet, Aadhaar or other certificates, the verification process can also be affected.

Please check the validity of the category certificate.

SC, ST, OBC-NCL and EWS category candidates should upload only the certificate in the prescribed format and valid period. Uploading old, invalid or wrongly formatted certificate may cause the college to ask for additional documents, which may delay the admission process.

Match the information of CUET and CSAS

Candidates must match all the details entered in their CUET application and DU CSAS portal. The college may seek clarification if any discrepancy is found in subject, category or personal information. Also, keep important documents like character certificate, passport size photo, signature and migration certificate ready in advance.

Admission Dean’s Advice

DU Admission Dean Haneet Gandhi has appealed to the students to keep checking the admission portal for regular updates and respond timely to every message received from the college. Adherence to the deadline and careful scrutiny of documents is the key to a smooth admission process.
