In light of the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026, students from Coimbatore have initiated a creative anti-drug awareness campaign featuring a massive football installation and flags representing 48 participating nations.

This event took place at Camford International School as part of a broader awareness initiative. The students crafted a 10-foot-tall football model and showcased the flags of the 48 nations to convey a strong message against drug abuse. The campaign operated under the slogan 'Choose Goals, Not Drugs', emphasizing the significance of pursuing ambitions and healthy lifestyles instead of succumbing to substance abuse.

As part of the initiative, students also took an anti-drug pledge. They expressed their best wishes for the teams competing in the FIFA World Cup final. The impressive football installation will be displayed on the school grounds for two days.

During the event, Camford International School's Chairman, Arul Ramesh, along with Correspondent Poongothai Arul Ramesh, stressed the importance of guiding youth towards meaningful objectives and raising awareness about the detrimental effects of drug abuse.

A grade 11 student shared insights about the school's football installation and the display of flags, celebrating the essence of the FIFA World Cup 2026 while advocating for the anti-drug message, 'Choose Goals, Not Drugs.' The student emphasized the significance of the official match ball, Trionda, and praised the values of discipline and perseverance that football embodies.

"Our towering 10-foot football, the flags of 48 nations, and hundreds of young football enthusiasts have transformed our campus into a vibrant celebration of world football. The Trionda match ball symbolizes a significant advancement in sports engineering, honoring the three host nations—Mexico, Canada, and the United States—while incorporating advanced technology to aid referees in making accurate decisions," the student remarked.

"This occasion has also served as a platform for a powerful anti-drug awareness campaign, encouraging young minds to prioritize passion, purpose, and healthy pursuits over drugs. As proud Camfordians, we support both teams in the FIFA World Cup final, celebrating the discipline and determination that define champions," he added.

"I would like to express my gratitude to our Chairman, Correspondent, Principal, and teachers for their unwavering guidance towards meaningful goals and healthy life choices, while enhancing awareness about the dangers of drug abuse. Choose Goals, Not Drugs," he concluded.
