Lucknow, July 18. After the statement of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding Hanumangarhi of Ayodhya, a new controversy has arisen in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. After former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, now Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav has also raised questions on the Chief Minister’s claim. After the reactions of both the leaders, this issue has come to the center of the politics of the state.
Brij Bhushan said – Namaz was never offered in Hanumangarhi
In the talent honor ceremony organized at Nandini Nagar Sports Stadium in Gonda, former MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said that he has been going to Hanumangarhi for darshan and worship since childhood and there was never any incident of offering Namaz there. He also claimed that a Muslim man had contributed to the construction of Hanumangarhi, which is mentioned in the inscription found there.
Akhilesh Yadav said ‘false propaganda’
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, in a statement issued on social media, termed the Chief Minister’s claim as false propaganda. He alleged that the BJP was raising the Hanumangarhi issue to divert attention from the alleged theft case to the Ram temple. Akhilesh said that those who are spreading false propaganda about Hanumangarhi should atone for their alleged “great sin” and seek forgiveness from Hanumangarhi.
Serious allegations against BJP
The SP president alleged that religious faith was being used for political gains. He said that wherever BJP and its allies are in power, cases of corruption, embezzlement and loot are coming to light. He claimed that only the first layer has been revealed and there will be more revelations in future.
What did Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath say?
During his visit to Ayodhya, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while targeting Congress and Samajwadi Party, had said that the parties which talk about faith today, had done the work of offering Namaz on the steps of Hanumangarhi. He had raised the question that if Hanuman Chalisa could not be recited in Jama Masjid, then who had got Namaz recited on the stairs of Hanumangarhi.
