RPSC has opened the application correction and withdrawal window until July 24 for the APO, Inspector (Factories & Boilers), and Inspector (Factories - Chemical) recruitment exams (2026/2025). Learn about the full process, fees, and rules.
There is welcome news for young aspirants preparing for government jobs in Rajasthan. The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has given lakhs of candidates—who have applied for various key recruitment exams—the opportunity to correct their online application forms or withdraw their applications if they are ineligible.
Candidates often make errors while filling out online forms, which can lead to disqualification from the exam or significant difficulties during document verification. Keeping this in mind, the Commission has opened a special correction window from July 18, 2026, to July 24, 2026.
Which exams does this apply to?
This special correction window has primarily been opened for three major recruitment exams:
Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO - Preliminary) Exam-2026
Inspector (Factories and Boilers) Exam-2025
Inspector (Factories - Chemical) Exam-2025
According to information from the Commission, the Assistant Prosecution Officer (Preliminary) exam is scheduled for September 2, 2026. Meanwhile, the exams for the posts of Inspector (Factories and Boilers) and Inspector (Factories - Chemical) will be held on September 19, 2026. Consequently, this initiative could prove highly beneficial for candidates.
Full process and rules for application modification
The Commission has clarified that candidates will not be able to change all details in their application forms. No changes can be made to details provided during the ‘One Time Registration’ process, such as the candidate’s name, father’s name, passport-size photograph, date of birth, and gender. Apart from these, candidates can make necessary corrections to all other information. Candidates are required to pay a fee of ₹500 for this process, which can be deposited via any nearby e-Mitra kiosk or through online banking. To ensure the process is completely transparent and convenient, candidates must log in using their SSO ID. Subsequently, they need to visit the recruitment portal and select the ‘edit’ option for the relevant examination. The Commission has clearly stated that offline applications or requests for modification will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Strict Legal Action for Failure to Withdraw Applications
In addition to the correction facility, the RPSC has taken a very strict stance regarding candidates who submit applications fraudulently despite lacking the necessary eligibility. The Commission has provided such ineligible candidates an opportunity to withdraw their applications between July 18 and July 24, 2026. Failure to withdraw the application will result in legal action under Section 217 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Furthermore, such fraudulent candidates may be barred from all upcoming RPSC recruitment examinations for a period of one year.
OTR to be Blocked for Absentee Candidates
The Commission is not only cracking down on ineligible candidates but is also preparing to take action against those who submit applications but do not appear for the examination. The Commission holds the view that conducting examinations entails significant administrative resources and public expenditure. Therefore, candidates who do not intend to take the exam should withdraw their applications within the stipulated timeframe. Strict measures will be taken against candidates who fail to do so and remain absent without a valid reason; the ‘One Time Registration’ (OTR) facility of such non-serious candidates could be permanently blocked.
