Rajasthan High Court Vacancy 2026: The Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur, has issued a recruitment notification for the posts of Stenographer Grade-III (Hindi/English) in District Courts and Stenographer Grade-II (Hindi) in District Legal Services Authorities (including Permanent Lok Adalats). This recruitment notification covers 163 vacancies. The online application process is open from July 22 to August 10, 2026.

What are the application criteria?
Candidates must have passed the 12th standard (Arts, Science, or Commerce) from a recognized board.
Candidates must possess the ability to write Hindi in the Devanagari script and have general knowledge of Rajasthani dialects.
Candidates must hold a valid computer qualification, such as O Level, COPA, DPCS, RSCIT, a diploma in Computer Science/Computer Applications, a diploma in Computer Science and Engineering from a polytechnic, Computer Science as a subject in the 12th standard, or an equivalent qualification.

Candidates must be mentally and physically fit. They should not suffer from any illness or disability that would hinder the performance of job duties. A medical fitness certificate must be submitted at the time of selection.

Category-wise age limit rules
For the Rajasthan High Court Stenographer Recruitment 2026, the minimum age is set at 18 years and the maximum at 40 years. Age relaxation will be granted to reserved categories as per the rules. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, MBC, and EWS categories from Rajasthan will receive a 5-year relaxation in the maximum age limit. Similarly, a 5-year relaxation is provided to female candidates. Ex-servicemen (defense service personnel) can apply up to the age of 50.

What is the application fee?
The application fee is ₹750 for candidates belonging to the General category, OBC (Creamy Layer), MBC (Creamy Layer), and candidates from other states. Candidates from Rajasthan belonging to OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), MBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and EWS categories are required to pay a fee of ₹600. Meanwhile, the application fee has been set at ₹450 for candidates belonging to the differently-abled category, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and ex-servicemen of Rajasthan.

**Selection Process: Three Stages**
The first stage will be the shorthand examination. This exam will be conducted for either Group A (English) or Group B (Hindi), depending on the post applied for by the candidate.
Subsequently, a computer test (Group C) will be mandatory for all candidates, comprising both a speed test and an efficiency test.
Candidates who qualify in these stages will be called for an interview. Interviews will be conducted in proportion to the number of vacancies for the final selection.

**What is the Salary?**
Candidates selected for the Rajasthan High Court Stenographer recruitment will receive a monthly salary of ₹23,700 as 'probationer trainees' during the initial two-year probation period. Upon successful completion of the probation period, they will receive a regular pay scale ranging from ₹33,800 to ₹1,06,700 per month, in accordance with Pay Matrix Level-10.
