Pakistan is set to make history at the 75th Miss World Festival as Aneeka Meraj, the newly crowned Miss World Pakistan 2026, will become the first contestant to represent the country at the prestigious international pageant.

The announcement marks a significant milestone for Pakistan, as it will be the nation’s first official participation in the Miss World competition since the pageant’s inception. The 75th anniversary edition of Miss World is scheduled to take place in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5, bringing together contestants from around the globe.

Aneeka Meraj, 24, was recently crowned Miss World Pakistan 2026 during a ceremony held at a hotel in Lahore. The crown was presented to her by Dr. Shafaq Akhtar, who previously held the title of Miss Pakistan Universal 2022, alongside Mr. Pakistan World Ataullah Gujjar.

Academically, Aneeka holds a degree in Business and Economics, with a specialization in Accounting and Auditing. Beyond the world of pageantry, she has outlined ambitious professional goals and hopes to qualify as a State Authorized Public Accountant in the future.

Speaking about her aspirations, Aneeka said she wants to contribute to Pakistan not only through her professional career but also by supporting social causes. She expressed a strong commitment to promoting children’s rights and improving access to education for girls, believing these efforts can help build a brighter future for the country.

According to the organizers, Aneeka is no stranger to international beauty competitions. She has already represented Pakistan in six international pageants, earning four titles and awards during her journey. Her previous experience is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s debut on one of the world’s most recognized beauty platforms.

Although this will be Pakistan’s first appearance at Miss World, the country has increased its presence in global beauty pageants in recent years. Pakistani representatives have previously participated in international competitions such as Miss Universe, where Erica Robin and Roma Riaz represented the nation on the global stage.

The organizers believe Aneeka’s participation in Vietnam is more than just another pageant appearance. They describe it as a landmark moment that places Pakistan on the Miss World stage for the first time and opens the door for greater international representation in the future.
