Patna: A painful incident has come to light from Bhagalpur, Bihar, which has left the entire family shattered. A son is accused of killing his father by attacking him with a brick during a domestic dispute in Lalmatia police station area of Nathnagar. The deceased was a retired Subedar from the army. After the incident, the police has arrested the accused son. On the complaint of the mother, a case of murder has been registered and further action has been started.
Domestic dispute took violent turn
According to the police and family members, late Thursday night, retired Subedar Vishnudev Yadav allegedly reached home in an intoxicated state. It is alleged that while opening the door of the house, he made loud noise and an argument started with his son. Within no time the dispute escalated so much that a fight broke out between the two.
Meanwhile, the accused son Vineet Kumar allegedly attacked his father’s head with a brick. Seriously injured Vishnudev Yadav was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Case registered on mother’s complaint
After the incident, the deceased’s wife Baby Devi filed a complaint of murder against her son. The police took immediate action and arrested the accused. Officials say that the investigation of the case is ongoing and the legal process is being taken forward on the basis of available evidence.
There used to be controversy earlier also
Family members say that there were frequent disputes between father and son regarding financial matters and other matters at home. Even on the night of the incident, the matter turned violent after an argument. Police have collected evidence from the spot and after post-mortem the body was handed over to the relatives.

Vishnudev Yadav had dreamed of building a new house and living with his family after retirement, but a dispute changed the life of the entire family. The father died, while the son is now facing legal action on murder charges.
Police say that the matter is being investigated impartially. The accused cannot be considered guilty in the eyes of law until the charges are proved in the court. This incident once again draws attention to the serious situations arising out of family disputes and drug addiction.
