Real Madrid’s persistent interest in Michael Olise has reportedly unsettled the atmosphere inside Bayern Munich, with growing uncertainty over the French winger’s future creating tension among players and staff within the Bundesliga champions’ dressing room.
As per journalist Romain Molina, rumours of a potential transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu have led several Bayern players to seek clarification from the club hierarchy, even though the club has publicly stated that Olise is not available for sale.
The report highlights that Bayern’s squad had ended last season united in their ambition to capture the 2027 UEFA Champions League title. Consequently, speculation surrounding the possible departure of one of their key figures has been viewed as an unwanted distraction, especially ahead of the new campaign.
Molina further notes that the unease within the dressing room extends beyond concerns about Olise’s on-field importance.
Several players reportedly believe that ongoing transfer rumours are at odds with the collective vision Bayern have been developing under manager Vincent Kompany.
With the Champions League set as the club’s primary objective, the uncertainty surrounding one of their most influential attackers has contributed to a sense of anxiety among the squad.
Nonetheless, Bayern’s official position remains firm. The German giants are financially stable and continue to insist they have no plans to sell Olise or any other essential member of the team, regardless of the scale of external interest.
However, disagreements have reportedly emerged within the club’s leadership, with contrasting opinions among senior figures about how to handle the situation.
According to the same report, some Bayern executives might be open to considering an exceptional offer exceeding €200 million. Such a move would not be driven solely by sporting or financial motives but could also be influenced by internal political dynamics within the club’s hierarchy.
Despite these internal debates, there is no indication that formal negotiations have begun, nor any evidence that Bayern have altered their public stance on Olise’s future.
From Real Madrid’s perspective, any potential move remains highly complex. Bayern are reportedly sceptical about whether Madrid can currently finance a transfer of that magnitude without first restructuring their squad.
Therefore, Real Madrid’s immediate focus would likely be on creating space within their roster and ensuring sufficient financial flexibility before making any formal approach for the French forward.
