Union Minister C.R. Patil and Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi are visiting Mandvi in Surat district on Sunday to attend a key public event in Kosamba.

During the visit, the two leaders will inaugurate 'Apna Ghar Ashram', a shelter established by the Dhruv Anaika Foundation, Mumbai. The facility has been built to provide accommodation, care, and essential services to homeless, destitute, and abandoned individuals.

The ashram aims to offer a safe and dignified living environment for people who lack family support or permanent shelter, making it a significant social welfare initiative in the region.

Several political leaders, local representatives, dignitaries, and residents are expected to attend the inauguration ceremony alongside Union Minister C.R. Patil and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi.

The launch of the ashram is being seen as an important step towards strengthening support systems for vulnerable sections of society and promoting humanitarian welfare in Gujarat.
