Lock Up 2: Actor Harshad Chopra got emotional on the sets of Lock Up Season 2 as he spoke about a difficult phase in his life. Harshad told that he had once tried to commit suicide.

After becoming the final three contestants in Lock Up 2, Harshad said that when his first girlfriend cheated on him, he tried to harm himself, the wounds of which are still present.

Harshad narrated his story

Harshad recalled a painful incident from his early days. He told that when he was 23 years old, his girlfriend called him and told him that she was cheating on him with someone else. Harshad told that his girlfriend had said this to make him jealous, but this news deeply shocked him and he tried to commit suicide. Harshad said, “The marks are still there. Nothing happened after that. I woke up and got scared. My leg was already hurt, so I could barely walk.” Harshad said, “The hospital was nearby, so I immediately reached there, but the doctors said that they would have to call the police. I begged them, pleaded with them, and then I understood. Then I promised myself that I would never harm myself again.”

During a conversation with hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, Harshad Chopra admitted that he was young at the time and was not proud of what happened. He told that he was new in Mumbai at that time and this relationship lasted for about 8 to 9 months. He said, “I wanted to feel so much pain that it would seem like nothing in comparison. Now, whenever I am in a similar situation, I remind myself to never do that again.” Harshad told that he never told his father about this incident. Harshad Chopra said that this experience taught him the importance of valuing and respecting oneself.
