Ranbir and Sai Pallavi dominate the grand event of Ramayana, applause echoes on the entry of Yash and Sunny Deol

New Delhi . The grand red carpet event organized in Delhi ahead of the release of the much awaited film Ramayana took the excitement of the audience to new heights. The trailer of this ambitious film of producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitish Tiwari was screened for the first time on a large scale where the entire star cast made the event memorable with their presence. Ranbir Kapoor Sai Pallavi Yash Sunny Deol Arun Govil Ravi Dubey and many other actors shared their experiences to the film on stage and told how special this project is for them.

The event started with the trailer screening after which Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi took the stage first. Both the artists, dressed in traditional Indian attire, won the hearts of the audience. Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Lord Ram while Sai Pallavi will be seen in the role of Mother Sita. Director Nitesh Tiwari told that he did not choose these two actors only on the basis of acting ability but he could see the personality of Ram and Sita in their eyes. He said that he could not imagine anyone else for these characters.

Producer Namit Malhotra spoke at length about the film’s conceptualization and production journey. He said that his company has won many prestigious awards for visual effects globally but now the time had come to present the greatest story of Indian culture to the world with the same grandeur. With this in mind, it was decided to make a film on Ramayana so that Indian heritage can get a new identity at the global level.

Director Nitish Tiwari clarified that the basic story and emotions of the film have not been tampered with. He said that through modern technology and spectacular visual effects, the audience will get an experience of Ramayana that has never been seen before on the big screen. He indicated that Lanka Dahan Kishkindha and other important scenes have been presented in a very grand manner.

Actor Arun Govil also shared an emotional experience in the program. He told that when Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana was being made, initially he did not get the role of Lord Ram but later the same character became his identity. In this film he is playing the role of King Dasharatha and he said that he always felt a spiritual atmosphere while working on this set.

Ranbir Kapoor expressed his respect towards Arun Govil from the stage and said that since childhood he has seen him as Lord Ram and if he can bring even a little bit of his acting in his character, it will be a big achievement for him. Whereas Sai Pallavi said that before accepting this role, she prayed to Mother Sita to give her the strength to play this divine character.

    Ravi Dubey described it as his good fortune to get the role of Laxman, while South superstar Yash expressed his gratitude to the makers for getting the opportunity to play the role of Ravana. The audience welcomed his entry with loud applause. As soon as Sunny Deol came on stage, the entire hall echoed with applause. He expressed confidence that this film will reach every Indian and will gain immense love from the audience.

    In the programme, poet Kumar Vishwas explained the importance of the story of Lord Ram while the devotional presentation of sitar player Rishabh Sharma made the atmosphere spiritual. At the end of the program the trailer was shown once again which was watched with enthusiasm by the audience. This grand event made it clear that Ramayana is not just a film but a huge effort to present Indian culture and faith on the big screen with modern technology.
