The Bihar Integrated 72nd Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination 2026, originally scheduled for July 26, 2026, by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), has been postponed. BPSC has issued a notice on its official website, bpsc.bihar.gov.in, stating that the exam has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.

**Announcement of New Exam Date Soon**
According to the notification, the new date for the examination will be announced later. However, it is expected that the new date for the preliminary exam will be declared either this week or next week. Candidates are advised to continue their preparations and keep a close watch on the website.

**Exam Timing and Shift**
The BPSC will conduct the 72nd preliminary examination in a single shift on one day. The exam will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Admit cards for the exam will be made available for download online a few days prior to the exam date.

**Preliminary Exam Pattern**
In the BPSC preliminary exam, candidates will face 150 multiple-choice questions. Each question carries one mark. A total of 2 hours (120 minutes) will be allotted to complete the question paper.

**Selection Process**
The recruitment process will begin with the preliminary examination. Candidates who succeed in the preliminary exam will qualify to appear for the main examination. Those who clear the main exam will have to appear for an interview. A final list will be released after the completion of the process. Candidates who make it to this list will be appointed to the vacant posts. A total of 1,189 vacant posts will be filled through this recruitment drive.
