Very dramatic events are taking place in the capital Delhi on the first day of the monsoon session of Parliament. On one hand, the ‘Chalo Sansad’ march of the Cockroach Janata Party has reached the Parliament gate in protest against the NEET paper leak and rising unemployment. On the other hand, Union Education Minister Dharmendra has come to meet Prime Minister Home Minister Amit Shah. In view of the increasing intensity of the movement and seriousness of security, the main gate of the Parliament House has been closed and an important meeting between the two leaders is going on behind closed doors.

After CJP workers and thousands of students marched towards Parliament, the Parliament House and its surrounding area has become like a cantonment. As the protesters moved straight towards Parliament, the issue of law and order arose. In this background, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has met Home Minister Amit Shah, and it is believed that the demands of the protesters are being discussed in this meeting. The protesters have demanded the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. In this background, the possibility of Pradhan’s resignation is also being raised.

Urgent meetings are going on in the Home Ministry, while the Central Government has shown readiness to talk to the protesters. CJP spokesperson Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka Union Minister J. Have gone to meet P. Nadda. The delegation will talk to Nadda on the main demands of resignation of the Education Minister in the NEET paper leak case and improvement in the examination system.

To stop the ‘Chalo Sansad’ march that started from Jantar Mantar, police have imposed strict blockade in Parliament Street, VIP Zone and Central Vista Area. When the protesters tried to break the barricades installed at some places, there was a heavy clash with the police. Police resorted to mild lathicharge and fired tear gas shells near the Press Club of India to disperse the crowd. Important metro stations like Rajiv Chowk and Patel Chowk in Delhi have been closed citing security reasons.
