These days, the popularity of anti-heroes is rising in Hindi cinema. In many recently released films, villains have grabbed more headlines than heroes with their dangerous characters. This is the reason why there was a huge competition among many A-listers of Bollywood for the role of the main villain of the famous director and production house’s upcoming mega-budget action thriller film ‘Haiwaan’. The makers had contacted many senior and best actors of the industry for this role, after which there was a lot of speculation in social media and B-town about the star cast of this film. Bobby Deol, Akshay Khanna and Sunil Shetty were the first choices: Talks had gone a long way. According to sources close to the film, the makers had first talked to ‘animal’ fame Lord Bobby Deol for the role of this very cruel and powerful villain of ‘Haivaan’, because at present his villain style is being liked very much by the audience. Along with this, the names of Akshaye Khanna, famous for his killer smile and serious acting on screen, and 90s action king Suniel Shetty were also leading in this race. There were several rounds of script reading and character sketch discussions with the makers with these three stars, but due to dates and some commercial aspects, the final consensus could not be reached. Akshay Kumar has won the game: Negative avatar will be seen once again. When it seemed that a new face would be found for the role of villain in the film, then the makers played a masterstroke which surprised everyone. Now the name of Bollywood’s most trusted and biggest star Akshay Kumar has been finalized for the dangerous title role of the film ‘Haivaan’. Akshay Kumar has earlier won the applause of the audience and critics by playing negative characters in films like ‘2.0’ and ‘Ajnabee’. This new avatar of Khiladi Kumar is going to be the most dangerous and different look of his career so far, for which he has also passed the special look test. ‘Haivaan’ will be made on a big canvas: There will be a strong twist of action and suspense.
