New Delhi: Amid the ongoing agitation over irregularities in the NEET exam and demand for exam reforms, members of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on Monday met Union Health Minister and senior BJP leader J.P. However, at present no response has come from the government regarding these demands.

Tense situation at Jantar Mantar

There were reports of confrontation between the police and the protesters at the protest site. The police used mild force to control the crowd and took action to remove the protesters from there. A large number of security forces were deployed at the incident site.

According to reports, after Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) chief Chandrashekhar Azad reached Jantar Mantar, the crowd increased, due to which the situation went out of control for some time. During this period, pushing and stone pelting were also reported at some places.

Delhi Police refused to use force

However, Delhi Police has denied allegations of lathi charge or use of force on the protesters. According to news agency PTI, police officials say that necessary steps were taken to control the situation, but no excessive force was taken.

On the other hand, Sonam Wangchuk has also put some conditions to end her fast. He has said that if the government accepts responsibility for the problems faced in the education system and issues like paper leaks or is given assurance of raising this issue seriously in the Parliament, then he can consider ending his fast.
