Rampur. Political turmoil has once again intensified in Rampur. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has opened a big front regarding education, institutions and the future of youth. On Monday, party workers observed a one-day mass fast at the district office of AAP in Rampur. The protest was against the Tahaffuz (protection) of Jauhar University and the ongoing paper leak cases in the country. Besides, through this, the hunger strike of environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk of Ladakh was also given open support.

In fact, a large number of party workers and local leaders gathered in this fasting program organized under the leadership of Aam Aadmi Party state spokesperson Faisal Khan Lala. Patriotic songs kept resonating throughout the program, which filled a different enthusiasm among the people present there. Holding placards and banners, the workers pledged to fight at every level to protect education, the Constitution and democratic rights.

Offering education to politics cannot be tolerated: Faisal Khan Lala

Addressing the program, state spokesperson Faisal Khan Lala took sharp dig at the current system. Attacking the government on the issue of education and employment, he said that the situation in the country today is very worrying. Faisal Lala said, “In a country where news of debris instead of books and paper leaks instead of examinations become headlines, the dreams of the youth can never remain safe.”

Referring to Mohammad Ali Jauhar University, he said in an emotional tone that Jauhar University is not just a building made of bricks and mortar. This is the recognition of the aspirations and educational dreams of thousands of students. Faisal Lala further added that sacrificing education to politics is a matter of great concern for any progressive society.

Voice raised in favor of Sonam Wangchuk

Supporting Sonam Wangchuk’s campaign, Aam Aadmi Party leaders said that this fight is not just about any one state or individual. Faisal Khan Lala said that Sonam Wangchuk’s peaceful movement (Puraman Ehtijaz) has become the voice of every youth of the country who hopes for justice, better education and a secure future. The real power of democracy is to raise one’s voice. It would be unfair to the country to remain silent at a time when the country’s major educational institutions are in danger and the future of the youth is at stake.

On this occasion, AAP’s District President Ansar Ahmed also energized the workers. He clearly said that Sonam Wangchuk’s struggle is an unmatched fight to save the democratic values ​​of the country. Aam Aadmi Party is standing shoulder to shoulder with the people to protect the youth of the country, better education system and the Constitution and this fight will continue in future also.

Local public representatives of Rampur and prominent faces of Aam Aadmi Party registered their presence in this mass fast. The main participants in the program were Councilor Mohammad Zafar, Yasin alias Guddu, Sarfaraz Guddu, Arif Sikandar Raju, Vakil Ahmed, Habib Ahmed, Mohd. Tariq, Shariq Parvez, Mohd. Dozens of leaders including lawyers and Abdul Ayyub participated. Apart from these, Shaheen B, Samina B and other senior leaders from the women’s wing, Rajneesh Sharma, Sanjeev Pandey, Humayun Khan and district spokesperson Rayyan Ali Khan also spoke.

The party leadership has made it clear that this voice of Tahaffuz of Jauhar University and the rights of the youth will not be allowed to be suppressed, and this movement will be given more edge in the coming days.
