  • The size of the bike is much bigger than the usual cars and gigantic like an elephant.
  • As it has a car engine, the weight of this bike is 556 kg, more than half a ton.
  • Being huge like an elephant, it looks very heavy, rowdy and tough when passing through the road.

There are some bikes that are made not just to ride, but to create terror on the road. American motorcycle brand ‘Boss Hoss’ falls in this category. Since the 1990s, the company has been known worldwide for directly fitting Chevrolet’s gigantic V8 engines into two-wheelers. For 2026, the brand has taken it a step further and added a massive engine to its ‘Cruiser’ model.

Better engine than a car and terrible power

The biggest change in this bike is the addition of a massive 496 cubic-inch (8,127cc) big-block V8 engine. This engine generates a whopping 600 PS of power and a crazy torque of 772 Nm, making even many luxury and super cars pale in comparison to this bike. Interestingly, this cruiser bike now offers 4 different V8 engine options for customers, with the smallest engine being 6.2-litre and even a 10-litre engine being offered by the company.

Heavyweight elephant and semi-automatic gearbox

Apart from the new engine, the basic design of the bike has been kept as before, and it uses a strong steel frame. As it has a car engine, the total weight of this bike is 556 kg. It gets a two-speed semi-automatic transmission to send that massive power to the rear wheels, and uses a torque converter instead of the usual clutch. Given the huge weight and size of the bike, the company has provided a special ‘reverse gear’ facility to avoid any difficulty in reversing in traffic or parking.

Fuel tank and mileage calculation

Boss Haus Cruiser has a large fuel tank of 32.17 liters for long distance travel. If we consider the mileage of this bike, it needs approximately 9.4 to 13 liters of petrol to cover a distance of 100 km. This means that once the tank is full, depending on the chosen engine and riding style, this bike can easily travel between 250 to 400 kms. The company has discontinued its ‘Super Sport’ model from the 2026 lineup, and now only two models – the ‘Cruiser’ and the ‘Bagger’ – will be available in the market.

Price and conclusion

The 2026 Boss Hoss Cruiser is priced at around $71,000, which is around Rs 61 lakh in Indian currency, offering the power of an American V8 engine and a rowdy look like the king of the road. From a practical point of view, this bike is not for the general public, but it is definitely a very ‘rapchic’ and only option motorcycle for those enthusiasts who want to ride something that is unique, gigantic and extremely powerful in the world.
