A very big and relief news has come out for the fans of Bollywood ‘superstar’ Salman Khan. All the suspense created regarding the release of Salman Khan’s production house’s ambitious film ‘Motherland’, which was hanging in the balance for the last few months, is now completely over. There were constant rumors floating around on social media and film corridors that the film has been postponed to 2027. However, the makers have officially rejected all these speculations and made it clear that this patriotic film will not be released on the big screen in 2027, but in this year itself i.e. 2026. Poster and caption increased the thrill of fans: Chitrangada Singh and Salman Khan showed patriotism. The film’s production house made a big announcement of the release of ‘Mathrubhoomi’ with an official statement and new posters. The very impressive looks of Salman Khan and Chitrangada Singh can be seen in the released posters. On Salman Khan poster "every breath for india" (Every breath for India) is written, while on the poster of Chitrangada Singh "Some relationships are stronger than blood ties" The message has been given. The makers wrote in the caption with the post, "A soldier’s promise, a family’s strength, a country’s pride"which has increased the curiosity about the film among the fans manifold. Why was the shooting and release of ‘Mathrubhoomi’ stopped? The connection is to the Galwan Valley dispute. According to reports, the film ‘Mathrubhoomi’ being made under the direction of Apoorva Lakhia was stalled for the last three months due to censor board and re-shooting. This film is basically said to be based on the violent Galwan Valley Clash that took place between India and China in 2020. In view of diplomatic sensitivities and tensions, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and the Censor Board had advised the makers to remove direct references to China and Galwan Valley. For this reason, the name of the film was first changed from ‘Battle of Galwan’ to ‘Motherland’ and necessary changes were made in the script. After being postponed from April 17, now Salman Khan will hit the theaters this year. ‘Mathrubhoomi’ was earlier scheduled to release in theaters on April 17, 2026, but due to clearance and changes from the Censor Board, its release was delayed. Now that the makers have officially declared the news of postponement to 2027 as completely false, trade analysts believe that the film can be released on the big screen on a big festive weekend by the end of this year. Salman Khan is all set to create a new history at the box office once again with this action-drama film directed by Apoorva Lakhia.
