The first reactions to Nitesh Tiwari 's much-awaited ' Ramayana ' trailer are slowly trickling in, and they are overwhelmingly positive.

Ahead of the global release of the 'Ramayana' trailer, several filmmakers and industry insiders who attended a special screenings in New Delhi and Mumbai, have praised the film's scale, visual effects and performances, calling it a 'landmark moment' for Indian cinema.

Among the first to share their reactions were directors Siddharth Anand and Atlee, both of whom took to their social media handles to applaud the trailer featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Sita.

Siddharth Anand reviews 'Ramayana''Pathaan' director Siddharth Anand took to his handle late Tuesday nght to share that the trailer is a grand cinematic spectacle that exceeded expectations. Sharing his thoughts on X, he wrote, " Ramayana trailer ! Expect the world, and you shall not be disappointed! Yes it's GRAND, it's SPECTACULAR! And. Its heart is absolutely in the right place! Watched it twice to soak it all in. Yet wanted more. Can't wait for Diwali!"

Atlee calls Yash 'lethal', Ranbir 'stunning'Filmmaker Atlee was equally impressed, praising producer Namit Malhotra 's vision and Nitesh Tiwari's direction. He wrote, "Absolutely blown away by the #Ramayana trailer! One reviewer wrote, "Watched the trailer of #Ramayana in 3D, and there's just one word to describe it: SPECTACULAR. Another who watched the trailer in 3D at Bharat Mandapam noted "Watched the #Ramayana trailer in 3D at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi, a couple of days ago. The trailer will be released to the public on 24 July.

The casting is spot on, and the colour palette and overall visual identity feel authentically Indian. Artificial-looking and overly Western-style elements have been kept to a minimum.

It’s a spectacular trailer. Ranbir Kapoor is perfect as Lord Rama, while Yash is terrific as Ravana. Sai Pallavi delivers a graceful and convincing portrayal of Sita.

The visuals, music, and VFX are truly world-class. Can’t wait for the film to hit theatres on 8 November."

'Ramayana' trailer to release publicly on July 24The trailer, which has so far been screened exclusively for select members of the media and film fraternity, is set to be unveiled publicly on July 24.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, 'Ramayana' stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Adinath Kothare as Bharat, Nitish Sharma as Shatrughan, Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra, Shobana as Kaikesi, Chetan Hansraj as Sumali, Anupam Kher as Jatayu, Kajal Aggarwal as Queen Mandodari, Faisal Malik as Kumbhakarna, Mukesh Tiwari as Agastya Muni and Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha.

The film has been mounted on a massive scale with music by Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman, and is being positioned as one of the biggest cinematic adaptations of the Indian epic.
