Niazi claimed that the four-day conflict was not the same as the Pakistan army chief had presented to the public. Rather, Operation Sindur was a very successful military operation. Pak Army was thus trying to hide their defeat. The Pak administration was upset by this comment. Within hours, Pakistan’s National Cyber ​​Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) summoned Niazi for allegedly spreading ‘false and offensive’ information on social media targeting the military and state institutions. The notice sent said, ‘You have spread false, offensive information on social media to malign a state institution.’

It should be noted that on April 22, 2025, four militants of Lashkar’s shadow organization TRF killed 26 unarmed people in Pahalgaon. In response to this attack, India launched Operation Sindoor in the early hours of May 7. Nine militant bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir were destroyed. Pakistan then launched attacks targeting populated areas and army bases in states bordering India. India countered that attack as well as retaliated. As a result, at least 11 air bases of Pakistan were destroyed. More than 100 militants and 35-40 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the Indian army operation. Finally, New Delhi agreed to a ceasefire at Islamabad’s request.

Meanwhile, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan is in jail since 2023. He was sentenced to 14 years in prison in the 190 million euro corruption case. Imran’s wife Bushra Bibi has been sentenced to 7 years imprisonment in this same corruption case. In addition, in 2023, Imran is being prosecuted under the Anti-Terrorism Act due to widespread insurgency across Pakistan.
