EV travel will be easy across India
Hyundai claims that through the myHyundai app, EV users will be able to travel from Kashmir to Kanyakumari without worrying about charging. The company has partnered with several leading charge point operators (CPOs), which will make charging stations available to most users within an average radius of 25 kilometers.
This facility will also be available on major highway corridors like Delhi-Gurugram-Jaipur, Mumbai-Pune-Bengaluru, Mumbai-Ratnagiri-Goa, Chennai-Vellore-Bengaluru and Hyderabad-Kurnool-Bengaluru.
Also expanding its charging network
Along with connecting external charging networks to the app, Hyundai is also rapidly expanding its own charging infrastructure. Currently the company has 183 DC fast charging stations operating in 105 cities.
Hyundai aims to expand this network to 600 DC fast charging stations by 2030. These stations will be installed in major cities, national highways and at the company’s dealerships. The company is currently providing DC fast charging facility ranging from 60 kW to 240 kW.
Network will be open for all EV brands
Hyundai has clarified that all DC fast charging stations owned by it will not be limited to Hyundai customers only. Owners of electric cars of any brand will be able to use these stations.
Many smart features will be available in the app
The myHyundai app isn’t just limited to finding charging stations. In this, users also get facilities like navigation, advance booking of charging slots and digital payment. Additionally, the company has installed its charging stations at locations where there are restaurants and food outlets nearby, so that customers can spend time comfortably while the vehicle is charging.
What did the company say?
Tarun Garg, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO), HMIL, said that by integrating more than 30,000 charging points on the myHyundai app, the company is providing access to one of the largest integrated EV charging networks in India.
He also informed that the company will expand its owned DC fast charging network from the current 183 stations to 600 stations by 2030, which will further strengthen the charging infrastructure of the country.
Achievements were also special
More than 3 lakh EV users accessed Hyundai’s charging network through the myHyundai app between January 2023 and June 2026. During this period, more than 5 million kWh of energy was supplied from the company’s network, helping to reduce approximately 3.5 million kilograms (3.5 million kg) of CO₂ emissions.
New electric SUV will come soon
Hyundai is continuously increasing its focus on electric mobility. The company has confirmed that it is preparing to launch its new electric SUV in the mass-market EV segment during the current financial year. With this, Hyundai wants to further strengthen its presence in the Indian EV market.
