What rules should be followed during Chaturmas?
Wake up before sunrise, bathe, and start the day.
Worship Lord Vishnu according to prescribed rituals.
Chant Vishnu mantras and regularly recite the Vishnu Sahasranama.
Consume *Sattvic* (pure and wholesome) food.
Observe *Brahmacharya* (celibacy) and maintain purity of mind, speech, and actions.
Lead a simple life as much as possible. Donate food, clothing, lamps, and other essentials to the needy.
Resolve to sleep on the floor, in accordance with one's faith and physical capacity.
Spend as much time as possible in worship, chanting, penance, and devotion.
What should be avoided during Chaturmas?
Refrain from performing marriages, housewarming ceremonies (*Griha Pravesh*), and other auspicious events.
Stay away from lying, anger, arrogance, and harsh speech.
Do not consume meat, alcohol, or other *Tamasic* foods.
